Fees
As of April 1/2023, fees will be fixed at $250.00 per hour for all services. A typical psychoeducational assessment requires 14-16 hours to complete and includes the following:
- Intake interview with one or both parents/caregivers (1.5 hours); the child does not need to attend this session
- One-on-one assessment with child (typically 5 - 6 hours). If your child has had a recent academic assessment at school this might reduce the assessment time needed.
- Feedback meeting with parents/caregivers (1 hour)
- Administration time to score test protocols and review questionnaires, report cards, previous reports, etc. (1.5 hours)
- Preparation of the report (6 hours except for complex assessments which may require an additional hour; gifted assessment reports are 2.5-3 hours)
- Overall, an average assessment will typically cost $3500-4000; however, this amount can vary depending on the simplicity or complexity of the assessment.
Invoicing
As of August 1st, 2024, invoices for a typical assessment will be issued as follows:
1. Intake session - 3.25 hrs/$812.50
(1.5 hour intake, 1.5 hours report writing - background section, .25 admin work)
2. Testing session (academic) - 3 hrs/$750
(3 hours testing)
3. Testing session (cognitive) - 3.25 hrs/$812.50
(2 hours testing, 1.25 hours scoring)
4. Feedback session - 3 hrs/$750
(.5 hour document review, 1 hour feedback, 1.5 hours report writing - results)
5. Report completion - 3 hrs/$750
(3 hours report writing - summary, recommendations)
Note: Sometimes sessions are shorter than indicated. In these instances you will only be invoiced based on the actual time.
Payments
You must pay directly for services rendered. Payment is to be made after each appointment, and an invoice will be issued accordingly.
Credit card or e-transfer are accepted methods of payment.
After payment has been received, you will be provided with a receipt which you can submit to your insurance company and any reimbursements by insurance will be sent directly to you.
Cancellation & Late Policy
Any appointments that are not cancelled with 24 hour notice may be billed the regular session rate for the time booked.
No-shows are also subject to that billing procedure. If you are late for an appointment, I will try to accommodate if I can; however, the full hourly rate is billed regardless.
