I obtained an Honours B.A. in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude, Dean’s Honour List) from the University of Ottawa, and went on to complete my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa. Doctoral training included placements at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (Oncology), Elizabeth Bruyere (Memory Disorders Clinic), and the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre (Schizophrenia Unit).
Internship training was divided between the Centre for Psychological Services at the University of Ottawa, providing individual therapy and career counselling to adult clients, and Elizabeth Bruyere Memory Disorders Clinic, conducting comprehensive neuropsychological assessments.
I was employed as a school psychologist at the OCDSB for 9 years prior to leaving in 2020 to focus on my private practice. I was also the co-director of Taylor Creek Psychological Services for 12 years before moving to my new location.

What is a psychometrist?
A psychometrist is trained in the administration and scoring of psychological tests commonly used in a psychoeducational assessment. They work under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
Brittany has been providing psychometry services for Dr. Ouimet and her colleague for the past five years. Brittany is dedicated, diligent, and organized. She possesses strong observation skills, and her calm and quiet demeanour helps to put children at ease during testing sessions.
