About Me

I am registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and am also a member of the Ottawa Academy of Psychologists and the Canadian Psychological Association. These associations encourage evidenced based practices and the provision of quality healthcare services to the public.

I obtained an Honours B.A. in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude, Dean’s Honour List) from the University of Ottawa, and went on to complete my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa. Doctoral training included placements at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (Oncology), Elizabeth Bruyere (Memory Disorders Clinic), and the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre (Schizophrenia Unit).

Internship training was divided between the Centre for Psychological Services at the University of Ottawa, providing individual therapy and career counselling to adult clients, and Elizabeth Bruyere Memory Disorders Clinic, conducting comprehensive neuropsychological assessments.

In addition to my private practice, I am the co-director of Taylor Creek Psychological Services (www.taylorcreekpsychology.ca) and am employed part-time by the Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB).

Important information for parents of OCDSB students

If your child attends an Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) school, you should be aware the OCDSB offers free-of-charge psychological services in schools. Referrals are determined by school staff and are based on student needs in that particular school.

If you decide to retain my services, I will ask you to sign a waiver indicating you aware of these services being offered by the OCDSB, but are electing to access private services with me instead. While I am unable to see children/adolescents who attend the schools where I am currently assigned, should your child later attend one of my assigned schools and consultation is required, another school board psychologist would do so in my place.
